I tried this method of getting rid of the musty smell in an antique dresser and it just isn't working. I have had the charcoal and newspaper in the drawers for weeks and it still smells bad. Initially, we washed the drawers out with Pine Sol and it didn't work. I was frustrated and went on line to find another solution, which was yours, to try. HELP!!! What else can I do?
