I found a garage door insulation kit at my local Menards store; cost was roughly $45.00, 2 kits required for a 16' door. The local Lowes and Home depot gave the same response you recieved. The kit was made by Plymouth Foam, website is www.plymouthfoam.com ; will be installing later today, looks to be fairly straightforward install.
