we use a flamethrower propane torch to soften & then scrape it,,, after that, 6" grinders fitted w/dust nozzles & turbo diamond cup wheels.
few use beanedoo/other citrus strippers but here's a link - http://www.franmar.com/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=43 - you'll need to follow up w/degreaser as well,,, be careful as the stuff's SLIPPERY ! ! !
