That will depend on the make and exact model of washer in question and how 'hearty' it was manufactured.

5 feet *from the floor* might not be outside of what some washer pumps are capable of doing. If not, some models might have a 'high volume' pump available to replace the original to enable it to drain to such an elevation.

Check the washer's installation instructions or with the manufacturer.
