we have just built a new house and we had oak wood floors installed. a cabinet was dropped on it and a small but deep place was gouged in the floor. what can we do without going to lots of work removing floor. the wood is 3/4 inch and the hole is deep into the wood. it is not where it can be covered or hidden with a rug or with furniture. and besides i feel like as deep as it is it needs to be repaired.
