Storm door insert

I have an older storm door that has an insert for winter use. I am trying to get it back in for the winter but I guess the wood has expanded because it will not fit. I have had trouble in other years but have always managed to get it in with a little force. This year even force will not get it to go in. Can anyone help or suggest something? Thanks.
