If you got some old skis they work great. A good place if you don't have any is at Salvation Army to get some. Make a ladder type thing out of some wood. Then attach something soft to go on top of it that is comfortable to sit on for sledding. You could then raise it up off the skis with brackets of possible some wood again. You should be able to fit 3 adults on it one behind each other. Or get like 4 skis and attach it to that and go side by side Depending on how big you platform. Well I just made this one last night.

By raising it up it allows more snow to travel under it faster. Hope this will give you some ideas at least on how to make one. I am not a expert but I am tired of the weak ass sleds that are on the market today. I wanted to be able to make something that would go faster than the average sled. Well good luck.
