Icemaker leak???

That model number is incomplete, did you get it right off the appliance's model and serial number tag? That is the only reliable place the complete information will be found.

** The ice maker drips water into the ice bin creating icebergs. **

Unless the icemaker is physically cracked, the leaks may be caused by something besides a problem in the icemaker itself. Maybe overfilling of the tray or splashing when filling??

** What all is involved in replacing the icemaker **

It should just be held to the cabinet by 2 screws and its wire harness just plug in.

** any suggestions on where to buy one **

I didn't see anyone else with much lower prices. Unfortunately GE charges a lot for their replacement parts and everyone has to buy from them. :(
