Hello,

I am new at this so please forgive any violations. I have lived in a 60 year old home for 3+ years. There is an old shower in the basement. It is part of a Pittsburgh Toilet bath that miners used to clean themselves up before going upstairs after a day in the mines. One side is block foundation and the other 2 sides are laid white brick. The door is just that. Just a big wide open space. I am considering setting ceramic tile over all three sides. Can I do that and rest comfortably that the tile will hold? Some research I have done says I can but I thought I would ask again just to get your thoughts on the matter. I have the tile I want to use but do not want to start until I build a shower seat etc. If I need to install some board over the brick, now is the time to do it. Thanks, in advance, for any feedback you may be able to offer.
