Kenmore 400 Washer Model 110.27492600

Washer fills with water and will not do anything else. Won't agitate, drain water or spin. I can manually empty the tub and it will fill with water again, but that's it. You can hear a humming every now and then, as if it is trying to drain or spin, but nothing happens. No matter where I put the switch, no matter what cycle, it won't do anything. Any ideas what could be the problem? If it is the motor, is this easily replaced by an inexperienced person? Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
