I picked up your magazine for the first time, while reading through the question and solution for a stuborn garage door that wouldn't close, the staff did a great trouble shooting soultion, but missed the obvious. The angle of the sun, when the new owner purchased the house (probably in the spring or summer) the sun was high in the sky. The Door sensor was shaded in a consistent light, as fall came the low sun angle now strikes the sensor. Solution: shield sensor by moving it farther back into a consistent light environment.
