basement ceiling

I am finishing my basement that is underneath a double wide with steel main beams under the joists. I was wondering what an acceptable way to finishing part of the ceiling with drywall would be. What I was thinking was to put up 2x4's in between steel braces on the ceiling and then attach 2x4s to them that would go underneath the steel beams and attach the drywall to that.
