Our yard stays wet, mushy and moldy. We accidentally discovered a water line (looks like it is coming from an old well that is cut off) and this water line is gushing water underground. The water department has vierified that it is not coming from their water source. I had a plumber come out and he has capped it. My question is where is the water going now? Is it gonna back up somewhere underground and come gushing downhill at my house? We live in the bottom of alot of mountains. All the water from rains etc come down the mountain to my yard. Where is this water backing up to? Is it dangerous to have capped this line? Please let me know what alternative action I should take to make this safe. Thanks
