I had the same problem except with my dishwasher the water was overflowing out onto the floor. I had a serviceman with GE look at it and he put some powder stuff in it, ran the machine, and that helped clear out any clogs. He gave me some of the powder stuff to use occasionally. He also mentioned using Cascades brand of detergent because it is better for the machine.
