Installing Hardwood Floors

2 Questions hope someone can answer:

1. Can you install pre-engineered hardwood floors on top of particle board or do you need to take it up and replace with plywood or OSB??

2. Can you install some pre-engineered floors on top of tile or do you need to remove the tile??
