In general they can be installed in one of 3 ways.
A floating floor, a glued down floor, or a nailed/stapled down floor.
However, they should only be installed per the manufactures instructions.
Some manufactures only allow certain types of installation.
PB does is hold fasteners well. It might not be good for glue, but probably is. But I would see if the floor or adhesive manufacture says anything about using with with a PB underlayment.
For any floor you need to check the flatness of the floor and see if it meed the manufacture specs.
Clearly you can nail into a tile floor. Glue down might work, but check with the adhesive manufacture.
