Toilet Plumbing

Posted by frostth on January 12th, 2009 10:19 AM

My bathroom toilet is plumbed in with a lead elbow pipe back to cast iron and I would like to replace this lead elbow as it is too far below the floor level and is cracked and angled. In other words it was never plumbed right. Anyway I need to replace this with abs pipe with a flange back to the cast iron hub. I know I will need a flange offset but how will I plumb the abs into the cast iron hub? Is there an easier way than using traditional oakum and Plastic filler? Thanks for any advice and suggestions.
