Went to the hardware store to buy some Goof Off or Goo Gone. A lady there said to try VEGETABLE OIL, she uses it all time.

I put some bottom paint on my boat and by the time I got the second on the tape was on for about 16 days. It didn't want to come off.
I rubbed the oil on it, and it softened it enough that a razor blade lifted it off a 23' boat in about 20 minutes.
And it doesn't interfear with the bottom paint.
A little glue was left on, but that comes off real easy with acetone or Oops.
