Old Sliding Glass Door

I have a problem with a sliding glass door...it is very, very old, and the handle is broken. It will cost $300 to have it replaced, so, I am trying to find a new handle. It is very different than normal sliding glass doors...it doesn't have a cut-out for the handle, but 3 holes, and the handle is two pieces, very similar to a regular pass through knob. The two pieces join together on each side to make the handle. Any advice, or ideas of where to look are very much appreciated. I have already tried my local home center, to no avail.....
