The first pool was a 15' with the blow up ring. As the sand compressed under the 20 tons of pressure from the water, the pool began to slowly roll. Finally, the seam split and that was the end of the pool.
I did wet the sand completely. I then rolled it with a 800lb roller. It seemed compacted, but when the 5000 gallons of water was added, the sand compacted all the way. So if you have to put more then an 1" or 2 of sand, dig out the high side.
