"cheap siding, vinyl, generic". Someone paid the installers a couple of hundred bucks to put siding on. That's what they did. It's siding. It's installed. End of contract.
There are paints out there that will work on vinyl siding. It might be time to check on them. Of course that sort of defeats the "no maintenance" thing about vinyl siding.
It just proves, once again, you get what you pay for and if it sounds too good to be true it probably is a rip off.
