I managed to repair the large right burner in our early 1990s GE induction cooktop by replacing the bad voltage rectifier and fuse as instructed by cherylc2 and others. Sears had indicated that the problem was a bad power module, but it wasn't the module, just the rectifier and fuse. If I managed to make this simple repair, why couldn't the Sears repair man? It would appear that GE and Sears are more interested selling expensive appliances than providing good customer service. In any event, the induction cooktop is second only to a gas range in cooking ability and heat control. A new one is around $2000, so $24 for parts and a day of my time was a great investment. Thanks Cheryl,
