more than likely if you open it up you have mini-dip switches in it. Moving the dip switches will produce the binary zero or one for the code to follow. If you have a keypad you probably have the same thing in it too. Do the same to both. If you don't, then you have an opener that is programmed in flash and you would have to reflash the chip.

My guess is mini-dips though.
