Sorry, by the time I got to read your reply I already got a "clue" from Genie about the wiring connections... it was pretty straight forward.
Also, by that time I already placed an order for the replacement capacitor. $16.95. Not a biggie... we're talking here 1 unit!
BTW, the original capacitor, as well as the replacement one don't come in a metal can but rather in that non-conductive "brownish" material which I believe is Bakelite (phenolic resin).
Anyway, I plugged the new cap and my dearest is happy again...
