2 way tape

I bought an old home and the last owners must have insulated the windows with the plastic sheet you put in and seal with a blow dryer..they used 2 way tape around the window frame, now it's all yellow it can't be removed. My wife used SOS pads, a sharp blade some strong house cleaning products nothing works to remove this yallow tape off, anyone got any idea ?
