petej,
You seem to have missed the point of my question. I'm seeking advice on repair because I don't want to be forced to buy a THIRD spray gun from Husky. The quality of this particular item is such that it breaks after a few uses and I have decided not to throw any more $$ to a company that makes an inferior product and then forces consumers to purchase replacements over and over again in lieu of helping them with a repair. Since your suggestion is to utilize a "qualified" technician - I ask this: What do qualified technicians do at Husky when my only option is to buy a new gun? Stalk fix-it forums and harass consumers who are seeking advice? Am I being too complex?
