moisture on the inside of the outside door

we live in a rainforest. in the winter, we can't hang out coats on the inside of the outside door. i realize that replacing the door would be good but we are building and have higher priorities. i was wondering if a quick and cheaper fix would be to insulate the door - either outside or inside

has anyone ever done this?
