Bubbles in the Whirlpool

Just moved into a home that has a whirlpool in the master bathroom's bathtub. Never used one before. CAN I USE BUBBLEBATH WHEN I USE THE WHIRLPOOL? IF YES, ANY PRECAUTIONS I NEED TO USE? Thanks.
