You know that is funny, because we just did the same thing about 3 years ago. We made our counter tops out of plywood, sanded used 3 Marblizing kit in the green and then used a Marine Varnish over it. The countertop is beautiful and we too have gotten many compliments on it. Its really a lifesaver, when funds are short or on a fixed income.
