with out doing the math on the system, it`s really hard to see if you`re totally in the ballpark. you`re thinking is in the right direction. if i understand right, depending on the current size of the current system there is only so much volume of air it can deliver before the unit starts working too hard. paying for a pro.`s advice should pay off. good luck.
