We just built an apartment in the basement of my daughters house and would like soundproof the ceiling which is her floor upstairs to cut down on some of the noises coming down. Any help would be aprreciated. We checked into soundproofing materials and found them to be rather expensive. Is there any thing else we can do besides the expensive materials sold commercially.
