i`ve had some luck putting the screws in with with a heavey construction adhesive or a good expoxy. support the door or hinge in place until the adhesive sets. a much better solution, in my mind, would be to use another screw the same size only longer, so that it catches the wood next to the door jamb. just don`t tighten it down too much-you could change the reveals and proper operation of the door by pulling frame out of shape. hope this helps and good luck.
