My husband and I recently bought a 80 year old farm house. We are in the process of taking up the carpeting and refinishing the wood floors underneath. In the dining room it looks like the carpet had gotten wet in places ( I don't know the cause) but we have some dark spots and I am just wondering if we can remove them by sanding or what can we do? Thanks for any help!
