I would add a second wall in front of the first wall. Space them so they do not touch each other. This would be the best method of preventing sound transmission. Otherwise, blown in insulation will help, and the heavier it is the better. Cellulose might be the low cost best choice. As long as you seal up the wall, being an interior wall, condensation should not be a problem. Dodgeman
