Hate to be a party killer, but........... Posted by John 2000 on November 12th, 2000 03:38 AM In reply to STYROFOAM CEILING BEAMS by S. HORAN on November 10th, 2000 10:48 AM [Go to top of thread]
Hi there ,S.Horan, I myself would not go near any Styrofoam, and if it is to go on the ceiling well no way. it wont flame but will smoke and drop hot burning droplets from the ceiling, indoing so will start other fires and if it lands on your skin will mark you for life. forget the cost ( the cheaper it is the naster it becomes, I would not have it in my home, most people think it looks great on their kitchen ceiling, which it does, but after a time when the fat/greese has started to build up, it can be a time bomb, waiting to go off. Youre best bet if you want somthing fancy on your ceiling is firbreglass ( that melts and takes longer to flame) Have a chat with your local fire department, and they will advise you on what type of material to put on your ceiling. ..........John 2000
