I am getting ready to put up crown moulding (about 80' of it) and am looking for alternatives to a $200 mitre saw. I'm new to wood working but it looks to me that I am looking at buying a $200 mitre saw and the only thing I can really use it for is moulding projects. Is there another tool that I can use that will offer more uses other than the crown moulding? Do manual mitre boxes work well? That certainly seems like a cheaper alternative. Any other suggestions for my project? Thanks
