Hi Thomas, use a fine saw blad ( the carbide tipped is the best if it has a lot of teeth. draw your line on the formica that you want to cut, then stick some clear sela tape ( clear tape) over the line, ( this will help to stop the formica from splintering) dont forget to allow a little extra so you can file/plane/router it to the size you want when its all glued down. and take your time dont rush it.....all the best John 2000,
