Thanks Henry. My treads are 5/4 milled to 1". I had the front bullnosed. All I'll have to do is rip and cross cut them to size, and rout the open side. I'll stick with my 36 tooth blade (it's carbide). What's the standard overhang for the tread to the riser? Same on the open side, tread to skirt? I have some blade cleaner, it's called OxiSolv blade & bit cleaner, or Sprayway saw cleaner (pitch & gum remover) these work pretty good. I get them from Grizzly Industrial. I also use Dry Coating Lube by Sprayway, it won't stain wood. As far as stain goes, I do use Miniwax the most, and it never comes out like the picture or the wood samples. Is an oil base the best for my stair application? What about polyurethanes (not pre-mix)?
