We need to paint my grandmother's basement to lighten it up for her to see better. We are planning to do this with a paint sprayer, but have never used one before. Safety precautions on the sprayer say to watch for static electicity (from plastic drop cloths) and turn off all pilot lights. Is this necessary when using latex paint also? Is it safe to use a sprayer in a basement with some but not a lot of ventilation?
