Craftsman 1/2hp Garage Door Opener Sync problem

I have the same problem. Here is what I am doing? According to the manual and the plate on the back of the garage door opener. Press the transmitter button on the remote.
Press the receiver button on the GD Opener
See the light blink.
Release buttons One garage door receiver successfully programed. Attempt to repeat steps again will no program the next receiver until the receiver button is held for 6 seconds and all codes are erased from the opener. Repeat steps again, starting from scratch, and #2 GD opener is programed with #1 blank. What gives? Anyone get the answer please e-mail me. arvanits@bellsouth.net
