We are moving our retail business into a renovated 1880 hotel which has a non-functioning brick fireplace that was painted black some time ago. We are considering an insert unit in the future as our budget allows. We would like to repaint a more complimentary color that matches our white and forest green decor. Any advise on proper type paint, # of coats, painting over black and any resource on pictures of painted brick fireplaces. Thank you in advance for the time and consideration.
