The coefficient of linear expansion for tile is in the range of 0.000005 inches per inch per degree F. So, if your tile is spaced out 10 feet (120 inches) and the temperature changes 10 deg F, the length would change .006 inches. Of course, if the tile were attached to a subsurface of different composition, (such as plywood) the tile woud move with it, and the total expansion would be different. Dodgeman
