I am trying to help someone whose sump pump discharges every 3 minutes. After much research and inspection, it appears that there is an artesian spring or "underground river" near her home. What is the best way to deal with this problem? Should she just install another sump and pump with backups? How do you locate the spring in order to cap it? Any insight is appreciated!
