What do I put under new fiberglass shower pan.

I bought a new 4*4 fiberglass showerpan and it looks like it is supported on the edges, near the drain and there is some wood embeded in the fiberglass. There is quite a bit of area that is unsupported.

Do I fill with cement, drywall compound?
