Anaglypta (SupaDurable)embossed wallcoverings Posted by Joanmarie on May 2nd, 1998 04:09 PM In reply to Anaglypta (SupaDurable) embossed wallcovering by Carol on April 30th, 1998 05:22 PM [Go to top of thread]
Dear Carol, As I was saying in my first response, I did a paper on the history and technique of Anaglypta and Lincrusta. In my research I found that you can create that tin ceiling effect rather easily. After hanging the material protect the surrounding areas with masking tape. Then, seal the Anaglypta with two coats of latex paint (I would use a basic white latex). Allow the paint to dry for a good 24 hours. With a 2" brush for edging and a medium nap 9" roller, paint your wallcovering with latex or acryllic metallic paint. Allow this to dry and you're all set! I hope this answers your question.
