I recently bought one for a room size of 300 sq. feet. I sent it back because it was too loud. The sound was comparible to a window air conditioner unit on it's highest speed, which is pretty loud for a small room like a bedroom. Especialy if you are trying to sleep. I also didn't care for the amount of air it pushed out. It was like a fan on high speed. Other than that it was a nice unit. By the way it was round and pushed air out all the way around. It could not be more than 3 feet from any walls or furniture. So it pretty much had to be in the middle of the floor. Hope this helps.
