Hi Jeannette, WHen you're finished connecting everything, FIRST, mix yourself a small bowl or bucket of very soapy water (preferably using dish detergent.) Then, slowly turn the gas on. ANd with a sponge of soapy-soap, 'cover' the connection with soap. IF the gas is leaking, you'll see it through the soap. The gas will 'blow holes' through the soap. NEVER use a lit match to do the 'leaking gas test'. The more soap, the better. Well, don't over-do it. My best to ya and hope this helps. Jay J -Moderator
