I have been told that the vinyl under my carpet in my house built in the early 70's very likely contains asbestos and should not be removed. We are wanting to install wood floor but the vinyl is curling and not in very good shape under the carpet. Is there any safe way to remove the vinyl or to even know for sure if it contains asbestos? Any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated.
