I have a really ugly "old" brick fireplace that I would like to paint or stucco. How do I prepare it for either of these? My house is a small Spanish style house and I think the fireplace would look great stuccoed. However, I need to know how do prepare the brick and cement in between the brick and what product to use to create the stucco effect.
