I live in Massachusetts and just bought a house. I am very aware of the hazards of asbestos but know that the asbestos siding on my house is non-friable. I wanted to paint it to make it look nicer but was recently told that there may be a law coming out that states that if you ever want to put up new siding, ie. vinyl siding then you will have to remove the asbestos siding. I am aware of the cost of disposal let alone the tedious process of removal. Do you know if such a law is going to come into existance? And if so is it a state or federal law. I don't think it is necessary to remove asbestos siding that is contained. But I don't make the laws. Thankyou, Thankyou,
